Lester N. Jones III is the Client Service Associate for Hudson Pride Center. He proudly identifies as an African American openly same-gender-loving (SGL) New Jersey native man. As the Client Service Associate, Lester focuses on HIV and STI awareness, outreach, and prevention. He is instrumental in helping individuals know and understand their HIV status and providing direct support to HIV-positive clients by focusing on their medical and social service needs. Lester supports the Director of Programs with outreach and event planning that prioritizes awareness and education around HIV/AIDS throughout Hudson County. He earned his Associate of Arts Degree in General Psychology from Union County College and is a member of the Hudson County HIV/AIDS Planning Council as well as The Jersey City AIDS Task Force. In these roles, he advocates for change across New Jersey on issues and stigmas relating to HIV/AIDS and mental health. Lester also is an old soul who deeply enjoys listening to Anita Baker, Barbara Streisand, and Teddy Pendergrass.
