YouthConnect's Expansion Into Essex County Needs Your Help!

Want to be a role model in your community?
Want to help pave the path for the future of LGBTQ youth?
Want to meet people who share your passion and your experiences?

Join the YouthConnect volunteer program! As YouthConnect, a program for LGBTQ people 13-21, expands into the Maplewood area of Essex County in a collaboration with GLSEN Northern New Jersey, we are offering a volunteer orientation and training in Februar. Being a board member is a perfect opportunity for those with experience in non-profits, boards, or other relevant experience which can contribute to the overall strategic vision and development of the agency through board governance and working committees.

Become a mentor for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people and make a difference in their lives. We offer an extensive orientation training and a mentor model to enhance and empower young people within the larger community.

Contribute your skills to help expand our work in the community. HPC can always work closely with partners who have specialized skills, whether its accounting, web design, construction, art, or something else, you can contribute to our work in the community.

Learn about non-profits through volunteering in our office to assist with our daily operations. In a fun, flexible environment you will have the opportunity to learn how a non-profit, social service agency operates from the inside-out.

Become a community leader by attending one of our regular trainings to become a community liaison. HPC's community liasion's can get involved in community health fair, Pride festivals, trainings, and workshops to bring the mission of HPC across the entire community.

Our mission: Hudson Pride Connections, HPC, is a 501(c)3 bridging the gap in services and responding to the unmet needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender community, as well as HIV positive people of any orientation / identity, through supportive social services, prevention, outreach, advocacy and development trainings for other service providers, to educate, empower, and unite all of our communities.
