Guido A. Sanchez
Executive Director

Guido Sanchez has a dual degree in Sociology and Gender & Sexuality Studies from New York University. Guido grew up in Essex County, New Jersey after moving from Tampa, Florida as a child. He has worked in public health for more than seven years, conducting sexual health, LGBTQ, HIV / AIDS, and harm reduction workshops at high schools, colleges, and agencies internationally, as well as extensive involvement in grassroots community organizing. Before coming to HPC, Guido worked at the New York University Health Center, and then was a consultant for Cicatelli & Associates, Inc, as well as a presenter at numerous public health conferences. He began at HPC as the YouthConnect Program Director in 2005 and was asked by the board to step into the role of Director of Operations in April 2006. Shortly thereafter he was promoted to the role of Executive Director. Guido is also the Co-Chair for the Northern New Jersey chapter of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), a board member on the National Association of LGBT Community Centers, as well as the Secretary of the Hudson County HIV / AIDS Services Planning Council and chair of the Minorities AIDS Initiative Committee. Guido is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health through the University of Massachussetts - Amherst program for Public Health Practice.

David Rosen, MSW, LCSW, C-ASWCM

David Rosen, MSW, LCSW, C-ASWCM currently serves as the part-time Clinical Programs Director for HPC, where he is responsible for overseeing the delivery of HIV/STI prevention and education services targeting at-risk populations in and around Hudson County. In addition, he provides clinical supervision for HPC staff and assists with grant writing activities for all HPC programs. As his full-time job, David serves as the Assistant Director for the Division of AIDS Education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he develops, implements and oversees HIV clinical education programs for the NY/NJ AIDS Education and Training Center’s local performance site at UMDNJ. In addition, he also provides group and individual counseling as the part-time Director of Clinical Services for an intensive outpatient Adolescent Addictions program in Raritan, NJ. Prior to joining UMDNJ in 2000, David served as an HIV case manager and as an eldercare case manager for several New Jersey Medicaid and Ryan White-funded community-based homecare programs and is licensed in NJ as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with an additional certification from NASW in Social Work Case Management. In 1994, David received his Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology from Cornell University and in 1996, received his Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He currently lives in Jersey City with his civil union husband and two cats.

Steven Gordon
Program Services Specialist

Steven Gordon is currently the Program Specialist for HPC. Steven is responsible for the administrative and operational management of all of HPC’s client programming. Steven joined HPC in July 2006 as the HIV Program Coordinator to manage the Buddy program and Emergency Assists program.Currently, Steven also works for the Ali Forney Center (a social service agency for homeless LGBT youth) and serves as their HIV Program Coordinator. Before coming to HPC, Steve worked for Body Positive; a 20 year-old Community Based Organization located in Lower Manhattan that provided supportive services to HIV positive New Yorkers. Prior to Body Positive, Steven worked for the town of Princeton, New Jersey as their Youth Services Coordinator. Steven received a Bachelors degree from Pace University. A proud native of central New Jersey, Steven now resides in Brooklyn.

Tyree Oredein, MPH

Tyree Oredein joined HPC in 2005 as the Project Manager of the School and Community Development Initiative. She delivers LGBT sensitivity programming to youth as well as youth-serving personnel. She has also served as a youth counselor for the YouthConnect program, and co-facilitates workshops that cover health, self-esteem, education and vocation, media literacy, empowerment, leadership skills, advocacy and HIV/AIDS. Tyree delivers HIV/AIDS education workshops to non-client middle and high school students upon request. Prior to her work with HPC, she worked for Select Media/The HEAR ME Project whose major programming includes CDC-approved HIV prevention curricula, and a national HIV story-writing competition targeting youth at risk to raise HIV/AIDS awareness. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Wellesley College with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Sociology. She later received her Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Hunter College in Urban Public Health with a concentration in Community Health Education. Currently, she is a doctoral student at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Public Health in the Health Education & Behavioral Sciences track. Her focus is adolescent health.

Tonya Del Soldato
Advocacy Services Coordinator

Tonya Del Soldato graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology in July 2006. She is passionate about assisting people that are HIV+ and loves her job at HPC. Tonya was originally hired at HPC as the outreach monitor for GLITZ (Girls Living In the Trans Zone) and the YouthConnect program. Tonya has prior experience with outreach and loves being in the field. Tonya was recently promoted to Advocacy Coordinator in order to work one on one with clients that are HIV + and also members of the LGBT community, particularly transgender individuals, in need of legal education services. Tonya has been living in Jersey City for three years.

Kenya Black
Supportive Programs Associate

Kenya Black is a Program Associate at HPC with a focus on work within the trangender program and the youth support program. Kenya provides outreach to the region's trangender community and provides supportive services to our clientele. Before coming to HPC, Kenya worked at the Osborne Society, group facilitating and outreaching to ex convicts while providing general social services. Kenya also worked at a needle exchange prorgam where she interacted with methadone addicts and provided the population with harm reduction education. Currently Kenya is in her third year at New Rochelle College where she is majoring in Psychology. Kenya currently resides in the boogie down Bronx.

Our mission: Hudson Pride Connections, HPC, is a 501(c)3 bridging the gap in services and responding to the unmet needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender community, as well as HIV positive people of any orientation / identity, through supportive social services, prevention, outreach, advocacy and development trainings for other service providers, to educate, empower, and unite all of our communities.
