Pride Connections

 

YouthConnect is the only program in the Hudson County region specifically for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth to access a safe space with trained peer leaders, internet access, harm reduction education, resume and job development assistance, and more.

Meets every Friday and Saturday from 3 pm through 8 pm.

TranStation featuring GLITZ (Girls Livin' In The Trans Zone) and BLITZ (Boys Livin' In The Trans Zone) is a series of programs to support the needs of the transgender community through peer support, job development assistance, education on hormone therapy, name changes, and more.

GLITZ meets every Tuesday from 6 pm through 9 pm. BLITZ is coming soon.

Legal Education & Advocacy Program (LEAP) is a unique program to meet the important and integral legal needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender communities. Through public education workshops, one-on-one legal guidance, and connections to advocacy and pro bono representation, people dealing with discrimination, wrongful termination, tenancy issues, the name change process, and more, can be connected to education and advocacy.

Bridging Out is a network of conversation groups and group programming to meet the needs of the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. With plans on the way for many services based on our community needs assessments, we expect major announcements for the Bridging Out program.

Bridging Out for LGBT people over 50 will begin every Tuesday on September 11th!

The Connections Library is a project to bring resources into the community through our library resources, archives, and lending options. The library features over 1000+ book, VHS, and DVD resources, many of which are available for lending to members. The library also features a collection of rare, out of print, first edition, and autographed texts with access to a photocopying machine and other research resources!

The Connections Library is currently only available by appointment during our business hours, Monday through Saturday, 12 noon through 8 pm. Please call for more information.

Our mission: Hudson Pride Connections, HPC, is a 501(c)3 bridging the gap in services and responding to the unmet needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender community, as well as HIV positive people of any orientation / identity, through supportive social services, prevention, outreach, advocacy and development trainings for other service providers, to educate, empower, and unite all of our communities.
